This post is about the bill called the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). It’s a bill with a very friendly name, pirates are bad, and we’re going to stop them, politicans can even show it’s a sign that both parties can work together, as it has bi-partisan support. Except, that it was drafted without the… Read more »

Weapons of Mass Destruction
Your words are weapons of mass destruction. They can be used to make people pull a trigger, or lay down their arms. Share your words wisely. The only security checkpoint against this weapon is your own heart. Keep it in check. This is universal, it applies in business, and in your personal life.
The ZippyKid difference or "How are you different than so and so"?
I’ve been traveling a lot for the past 2 months, when I meet people, the conversation usually ends up in a “who do you work for? what does ZippyKid do?”. I am after all doing this for business. Usually people haven’t heard of us, or the other players in the WordPress Hosting niche, some people… Read more »
Marketing your dong off.
Samsung today “promised” a 2Ghz dual core phone. I went on twitter and asked “Why?”. I can’t make my case in 140 characters, so let me try here. I’m glad that Samsung will still be around in a year, I’m glad that there will be alternatives to the iOS, Windows, Android, Motorola monopoly/conspiracy. But that’s… Read more »
Stop building mousetraps. A plea to my fellow creators.
Emerson is often misquoted with the saying “Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door”. He never said something that dumb. What he said was: “If a man has good corn or wood, or boards, or pigs, to sell, or can make better chairs or knives, crucibles or church… Read more »

Another failure in Web page styling and design.
This one comes from Microsoft, and their Silverlight install page. Since I already have silverlight installed, I can’t show what the actual download link looked like, but it wasn’t obvious at first. Why do people still not pay attention to this stuff? I’m not commenting on choice of colors, but rather that it’s not obvious… Read more »
Time Warner Cable of San Antonio, Monopolies and why they suck. – UPDATED
Why Monopolies Suck, arrogance of Time Warner Cable. Update (May 12th 2009) I’m leaving the original post up, but in case anyone else stumbles upon this, I’d like to share that the issue has been resolved to my liking with Time Warner. As always it was one bad apple giving the bad impression and discomfort…. Read more »
On Microsoft's latest Ad.
This post talks about how Microsoft’s new Ad puts Apple on the defensive. I beg to differ. The Ad is cute, but it preaches to the choir. The apple fanboys don’t like it for some reason, the windows fanboys think it’s a punch in the face of Steve Jobs. But seriously is it? In the… Read more »
QOTD: "It is easier to fight for one's principles, than to live up to them" – Alfred Adler
The results of the election have proven once again, that the ideals of humanity, know no color, or ethnicity.
That there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and that race relations are getting better, things are changing
and the younger generation, is ready to take control of it’s future.
Now, I’m not delusional, I don’t believe that by the end of November, Gas prices will be around $0.99/gallon, or people
will not be evicted from their residences. There is a lot of work ahead of us, the hard part is about to start. Enjoy this
electoral victory for a few days, but start preparing for the tough times ahead.
